How you can get lots of Testimonials

How you can get lots of Testimonials

Hey guys, Ted here again with another 2excel Tuesday Hack. This week, I’m going to talk about how to get lots of testimonials to help promote your services.
I love testimonials from clients because they really help to sell your services to others. I guess the real challenge, though, is trying to get your clients to take the time to sit down, write your testimonial then send it to you. With this in mind, I’ve discovered a little helpful tip you might like to try. Next time you’re with a client and they give you the thumbs-up on a job well done, why not ask if you can get a testimonial from them, right then and there, while they’re in the moment.
What you can do is, take your trusty mobile phone/device, which should have a voice recorder, and ask your client or customer if they wouldn’t mind recording a quick testimonial. It won’t take long and might even be a bit of fun for both of you. There’s nothing like a spot of bonding with a good dose healthy, positive feedback.
After you get the testimonial, give it to your secretary, if you have one, or someone who can type it up for you, if you don’t have time yourself. Testimonials don’t have to be epic pieces of text, so it shouldn’t take too long. Once you have the text written up, you can send it to your client for approval then get them to copy and paste it into your LinkedIn recommendation section or your Google Plus testimonial section, or even Facebook and click ‘Save’ – it’s as simple as that.
This process should save a lot of time, hassle and stress, so everyone will be happy. After your testimonial has been posted, you can then return the favour, and write your client a glowing testimonial about how great a client they are to deal with – it’s always good to share the love.
I hope this Tuesday’s 2excel Hack gives you some time-saving inspiration and is helpful for you. Make sure you have your phone handy when you’re catching up with clients, and if they’re very happy with your work, ask them if they wouldn’t mind sharing some valuable feedback.
Well, that’s all from me in this week’s 2excel Hack, stay tuned for next week’s instalment, and until then bye for now.
